I have experience about Warn PowerPlant installation on Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Four-wheeling in 110 degree plus weather condition doesn’t raise the temperature. It is no different than setting a regular winch on top of a car bumper. I know it since I ran the Warn 9.5ti winch on 2004 Jeep Rubicon and a Warn 9.5xp winch connected 2002 Sport. The Powerplant is mounted between the frame rails though on 2008 Rubicon Jeep (with modified Mopar bumper) and the overall height is comparable the 2004 set-up. I happen to love the compressor on that. Oh boy, by the time you purchase the compressor, storage tank, plumbing, all the switches, gauge, wiring and what-not, the price difference Is not that much. In some cases, depending what compressor you get, it is cheaper to go with the Warn winch PowerPlant. Oh yeahh, don’t forget about the time and labor installation all those parts too.
The new Warn PowerPlant winch represents everything we expected and many more. The Power Plant is ready in 2 different models : PowerPlant 9500-pounds high-performance (H.P.) version, designed for jeeper/people who want a faster line speed, and PowerPlant 12000-pounds heavy-duty (HD) version for longer duty cycles. Both units are really simple to purpose and come complete with fittings and 25-foot coiled air hose. I had project to install Warn PowerPlant 95000 HP on my friend’s 4×4 vehicles, Chevy Avalanche, GMC Sierra and Hummer H37. I promise I can work as soon as we can get our hands on one, because before buy PowerPlant winch, I must compare the price and get the lowest cheap price for it.

I loved my winch until it died on me after pulling my budy out of a jam. It should NOT die that easly. Not only that but because my spouce had it instaled while I was over seas, she faild to get the recipt. Now WARN wont repair it for me and it’s only 1 year old. On the plus side, it looks great sitting on the front of my wrangler with the cord all spoold up. Thanks WARN!
