Mud Driving Techniques Using 4×4 Vehicle

Driving using truck, jeep or SUV through mud and or clay is a cross between ice skating and walking through quicksand. Several clay and mud characters have a greasy top layer with an hard baked surface underneath, while another types could be a bottomless quagmire of gooey mush.

A different mud types ask different driving techniques and driving gear. It also depend on car type, 4×4 vehicle or 4×2 vehicles. Greasy mud on a hard bottom layer is best fit to narrow tires to provide them to cut through the top layer to bite the tough surface below. Wide tires in that mud spot tend to float on the greasy top layer without gaining the hard surface underneath.
